Harder Development held a naming contest for what is now known as 335 Commons, 335 W. McDowell Rd. The contest aimed to find a name that represents the downtown area and its community. Participants were asked to like the company's Facebook page and leave a suggestion on their wall. The contest lasted until September 9th, 2011, and prizes were given to the top contenders. Additionally, a weekly drawing for a gift was held for participants in the renaming campaign.
